Straight-leg Trousers with an Elastic Waistband – Details
- The length of the trousers along the side seam, excluding the width of the waistband, is 110 cm.
- The width of the trouser legs at the bottom edge is approximately 54 cm.
- The trousers are made of a dense knit fabric with a textured woven pattern, featuring visible knit stitches on the front side.
- The design does not include any fasteners and features an integrated elastic waistband.
- This style of trousers does not include pockets.

The pattern sheet contains all the necessary information: size charts and outline lines for sizes 42-50. Each pattern piece is labeled with the model name, part name, fabric type (main or lining), and the number of pieces to cut.
Recommended Fabrics: Dense knit fabrics or fabrics with added elastane.
Materials:
- 1.7 m of dense knit fabric (145 cm wide)
- Elastic tape, approximately 3.5 cm wide
- Sewing thread
The pattern layout below shows you how to place the pattern pieces on the fabric. Make sure that the grain line mark on each pattern piece runs parallel to the selvedges of the fabric.
Cutting Out:
- Front trouser piece – 2 pieces
- Back trouser piece – 2 pieces
Use a ruler and tailor’s chalk to mark allowances around the paper pattern pieces as follows: 4 cm for the hem and 1.5 cm for all seams.

We recommend sewing the trousers with a four-thread overlock stitch.
- First, stitch the side seams and inseams.
- Then, stitch the center back seam.
- Overlock the allowances at the bottom of the trouser legs, fold them up, and topstitch using a flat-seam machine with a twin needle or regular straight stitch.
- Finish the waistband with elastic as shown in the sewing tutorial.
