It is the thoughtful detailing that gives this coatdress its refined, couture-inspired appeal. Hand-worked buttonholes add an unmistakable artisanal touch (Fig. A).
The softly rounded lapels and collar are finished without visible topstitching. This keeps the lines clean, while enhancing the crisp elegance of the white fabric (Fig. b).
The lining hem is trimmed with delicate lace – a detail hidden from view, yet a detail that gives the garment a truly couture feel. A small finishing touch that turns the garment into something truly special (Fig. c).

The pattern sheet is shown in Fig. 4. To ensure printing accuracy, a test square measuring 100 × 100 mm (3 15/16″ х 3 15/16″) is included on the pattern pages. This is necessary because printer settings may scale the pattern incorrectly. Make sure your printer is set to “Actual Size” or “100% scale”.
Important! Always measure the test square after printing and check the pattern pieces once assembled to avoid inaccuracies in the final garment.
Pro Tip (Muslin/Toile Check): A simple way to test the pattern is to cut out the paper pieces in your selected size and tape them together along the seamlines using small strips of painter’s tape. This creates a quick fitting mock-up. This helps you assess the fit, balance, and proportions of the garment and make adjustments to length, ease, or construction lines if needed.
Important! The Upper Sleeve pattern piece is nested within the Back piece. After assembling the pattern, trace it off separately before cutting.
