How to Download the Coat Pattern

The coat pattern is designed for 6 standard sizes, without seam and hem allowances. The ease allowances are as follows:

  • 10 cm at the bust circumference
  • 16 cm at the sleeve width.

You can download the pattern in two formats: the full-size version and the one divided into A4 sheets. The full-size pattern can be printed at a copy center, while the A4 sheets can be printed on a home printer. To assemble the A4 sheets, simply tape them together. A basic grid is provided on the sheets, making it easy to align and assemble them.

On the pattern sheet, you will find all the necessary information: a test square for print accuracy, size charts, and outline lines for sizes 42-52. Each piece is labeled with the following details: the model name, part name, fabric type (main or lining), and the number of pieces to be cut.

How to Cut a Coat

The model featured in this article is made from cashmere drape. It is recommended to sew this item on a sewing machine. Since the lining is left free at the bottom of the coat, all internal seam allowances on both the coat and the lining should be overlocked.

Materials Needed to Sew a Coat:

  1. 3,5 meters of cashmere drape, 145 cm wide
  2. 2,0 meters of lining fabric, 145 cm wide
  3. Interfacing to reinforce the pattern pieces (for more details, see the tutorial on how to interface jacket pieces)
  4. Madeira Aerofil sewing thread, №120
  5. Madeira Aerofil thread for decorative seams, №35

Important! All pattern pieces are provided without seam and hem allowances.

Cutting Instructions from the Main Fabric:

  1. 01 Back – 1 piece on the fold
  2. 02 Front – 2 pieces
